What a class looks like
Fifty-five minutes, all yours.
Each session starts with a conversation about your goals, your history and how you like to be cued. Your instructor sets up the reformer with you, and brings in the tower and Wunda chair when they suit the work.
From there the session follows you: technique for a group class, a goal for your sport or your everyday routine, or simply time to learn the reformer at your own pace. In a duet, you share one instructor and work side by side.
Many people take one to three privates before joining Foundations, and some keep a regular private alongside their group classes. Your instructor will tell you when a group could suit you.

FAQ
Should I start with a private or a group class?
Either works. A private suits you if you want to learn the reformer one to one, or have a specific goal. If you are managing pain or an injury, book a clinical assessment instead.
How much does a private cost?
A private 1:1 is $95 for 55 minutes. A duet is $130 for 55 minutes with a friend, or $65 each.
What is a duet?
A 55-minute session for two people sharing one instructor. Each of you has your own reformer, and the session is planned around you both.
Can I use class credits for a private?
No. Memberships and class packs cover every group format. Privates and duets are booked and paid for per session.
Is a private the same as Clinical Pilates?
No. Privates are taught by a Pilates instructor. Clinical Pilates is led by Priya S., our physiotherapist, and built on a clinical assessment, and health fund rebates may apply.
